All I really wanted...

...was to be able to comment on another blog, but in order to do that, I first had to create an account here, which really meant creating a blog here. I already have a blog, with the same name, on the Salon site. I had been thinking, though, of starting some other ones to use as off-site "categories." Guess that's what I'll use this one for.

Don't hold your breath... but stay tuned for further developments.
